Also nominated for Best game of the year is Battlefield 3 where we contributed with the song “Rebel Arms” from Feeble Music artist Immortal Technique .
Timbuktu has along with Plan Norway built a studio in Dakar, Senegal to give the opportunity to create music to the local children. It has been filmed into a a small TV-series that will air on Norwegian television channel VGTV everyday during this week.

Luck strikes twice for the Empire. Bad Taste Records band Looptroop Rockers are nominated for Innovators of the year; a newly addition to the Grammis added to shine light on artists and groups who have built relationships with their fans though social media and digital channels and shown creativity surrounding the spreading of their music online.
To follow the streak of accomplishments from the past weeks Timbuktu has now been nominated in two categories for the Swedish award show Grammis 2012. Hiphop/Soul of the year and Song of the year for his tack “Resten av ditt liv”.
The award show itself takes place on February 14th in the royal opera house in Stockholm.
Timbuktu spent last week inside a glass cage in Gothenbourg streaming live radio 24/7 and collecting over 18 million Swedish kronor for charity together with Ana Gina & Kodjo Akolor for Musikhjälpen.
